Conversations with the Universe – How the World Speaks to Us
When I first started reading this book, I found myself almost about to put it down. The book is an interesting look into spirituality, a topic that I don’t find easy to read about and consider. The concepts it was introducing me to were almost too radical for me. However, I persisted with it and found that some of it blew me away. It really opened my mind to new ideas and, for the large part, the ideas and concepts just felt like they must be right.
This book certainly isn’t for everyone but, for some, reading it will be a tremendous experience.
The fundamental basis of the book is that we are all creations of the fundamental one-ness of the universe (for arguments sake, let’s just call this “The Universe”) and that the The Universe is constantly trying to communicate with us (through the things we see, hear, smell, dream, etc.) to help us through our journey. Everything we experience is there for us. It’s possible to improve our ability to comprehend these messages from The Universe with just a little bit of trying. It’s not meant to be hard. It’s meant to be fun. Because we enjoy having fun, we know that The Universe enjoys having fun as well. Everything that happens to us is a message from The Universe. Even the bad things that happen are there to teach us something or lead us in a particular direction. Because The Universe created everything, everything else we come in contact with is essentially “you” but in different form.
There were many parts of this book that made me just sit back and go WOW!! However, I found many parts of the book quite difficult to read. I was reading these parts slowly and re-reading them, and I still don’t think I’ve grasped the message properly. I think I’ll get even deeper insights from “Conversations with the Universe” when I read it again after some time passes.
